Some of you may have been confused by exactly what I mean by the Release Technique and Abundance Course in the previous article on abundance. Here’s a quick explanation to explain the difference and clear up any confusion, if there’s any. & THE ABUNDANCE COURSE
The Release Technique teaches you how to let go of all unwanted emotions, remove obstacles, and achieve a profound sense of inner peace and abundance in life. It teaches you how to let go of any negative or unpleasant emotions immediately, right on the spot. You don’t need to figure out why you have these emotions or get stuck in them. All you have to do is to release these emotions. The Release Technique can be learnt effortlessly in a minute or less and uses your natural ability to let go of any unwanted thought or feeling immediately. Unlike many other self-help techniques, you don’t have to use any other products or spend a long time training your mind. Now, you might be wondering why releasing is so important. After all, it sounds really simple and doesn’t seem like such a powerful technique. You know, I used to think the same way too. My initial thoughts were, "Yeah, right. So how is releasing going to get me that million bucks?...". And then I tried it out for myself. That was when I realized... Why Releasing Is So PowerfulBy now you know that the Release Technique teaches you to let go of any unwanted emotions. But did you also know that by doing so, this technique, as taught in the Abundance Course, also brings the flow of abundance into your life. The Release Technique is based on the principle that we can have all the abundance and happiness in life if we only allow ourselves to accept it and let it come into our lives. Life is meant to be joyful and abundant. And the only reason stopping us from having this joy, abundance and happiness in our life is ourselves. By clinging on and wanting things – happiness, joy, abundance, health, etc., we only stop ourselves from having the things that we want. When we release and let go, we allow all the abundance in life to come to us effortlessly and easily. Sound confusing? I don’t blame you. It took me a while to fully understand and appreciate the wisdom in the Abundance Course. But when you do, you’ll realize and appreciate the power in its simplicity. I’ll try to explain it as best as I can. If you’re always thinking, wanting or brooding over some thing that you desire or a bad experience that you had or currently undergoing, you’re hanging on to that thought. Maybe you have a crappy boss and you want a new job. Or a colleague did something nasty to you. Perhaps you got cheated or someone was rude to you. It doesn’t matter what it is, but so long as you’re thinking about it, running it over and over in your mind like a broken tape recorder, wishing nasty things to happen to your boss, you’re hanging on to that thought. And when you’re thinking or reliving all those things, don’t you feel a clutching or tight feeling in your stomach or your heart? It doesn’t feel good, does it? And if you’re holding on tightly to all those thoughts, how can anything that you desire or want, whether it’s abundance, health, wealth, joy or happiness, come into your life? Make sense? Think about it this way. This little experiment will help you understand, so you might want to try it out.
I like that little experiment. It demonstrates the basic concept of the Release Technique very elegantly. One of the things about the Release Technique is that it’s got to be experienced. You can’t understand it just by reading about it. I actually called up Larry Crane, the guy who runs the Abundance Course, several times to better understand the Release Technique, and he was kind enough to walk me through the entire thing. He actually gives his phone number (it’s somewhere on his website) and really does answer the calls himself (I know this sounds silly, but he sounds the same as on the CDs...=P...). I hope this gives you a better idea of what the Release Technique is all about. If it’s still not clear, I apologize if I’m not explaining it well enough. It’s such a simple concept but it can sometimes be very difficult to understand intellectually. You need to try it out and experience it yourself to understand and appreciate what a wonderful simple but powerful technique it is. The Most Common Mistake When Using Self-Help TechniquesThe Release Technique also works with every other self-help technique out there. It doesn’t contradict or conflict with any other method but, in fact, actually complements them and make the other techniques a lot more effective. It’s not that other self-help techniques are flawed. It’s just that most people don’t practice them correctly. Most times, in their enthusiasm to improve their lot in life, people sometimes forget or don’t practice their self-help techniques properly. Let me show you why. If you’ve tried out Creative Visualization, the Silva Mind Method, affirmations, etc. or even read up on self-help books by Anthony Robbins, Wayne Dyers, Shakti Gawain, Napoleon Hill, etc., you’ll notice that one of the things that all of them say is that after doing your visualization, affirmation or goal-setting, they all advise you to put it aside and just let go after you’ve finished your session. Usually, this is the last step in all other techniques, so most people ignore it or they don’t understand it very well. Sometimes, people get lazy. They may have practiced the techniques correctly at first, but after a while, get lazy and don’t follow through correctly (This happens very often. I’m guilty of this myself…=P..).
It’s like planting a seed and digging it up every hour to see if it’s grown. Keep digging up that seed and it’ll eventually die. For your seed to grow and blossom into a plant, you need to water it, give it plenty of sunshine and fertilizer and then, just leave it alone. By trying "too hard" and not letting go, you’re actually making it harder for your situation to change or improve. Instead of focusing on what you want, you actually end up focusing on what you don’t want. Not surprisingly, nothing changes and things stay the same. To really manifest your goals and visualizations, one of the most important steps is to just let it go. If you don’t, you’ll just perpetuate your current situation. Sounds simple, right? Don’t be mistaken. Trying to let go can be one of the hardest things to do, especially if you want something badly. Take it from me. I’m one of those people who tends to overdo things once I start on something. So, it wasn’t surprising that self-help techniques didn’t seem to work too well for me back then. And it wasn’t until I learnt how to let go and stop trying so hard that things started to improve for me. And if you think about it, I hope you can obviously see why... Releasing Increases the Effectiveness of Other Self–Help TechniquesOne thing that these other self-help techniques, e.g. Silva Mind Method, creative visualization, affirmations, mention is that you create your reality with your thoughts. By constantly thinking about the thing or object you want, you’re sending energy for it to manifest into your life. And if you do it with emotion, it’s even more effective. So, if you’re always thinking about how crappy your current job is, how bad or unhappy your life is because you’re fat, don’t have that new TV, computer game, no friends, no partner, no money, etc., what do you think is going to manifest into your life? There’s a fine line between thinking about the thing or situation that you desire, and the current undesirable situation that you’re in. And if you focus on the wrong thing, then all you’re going to do is to continue to manifest the current unsatisfactory situation. Think about it. Can you now understand how the Release Technique can help make your other self-help practices more effective? Now, don’t get me wrong. The Release Technique, as taught in the Abundance Course is complete on its own and is quite thorough as a self-help technique. It really does have the potential to be the last self-help course you’ll ever need. However, if you’re already practicing some other self-help technique and it hasn’t quite worked out for you, the Release Technique will also be able to help you out and make your self-help practices more effective. It certainly did for me. What Happened When I Started ReleasingP.S. - If you’ve read this far, then you'll definitely be interested to find out what happened when I started releasing.
