My Favorite Subliminal Message Program
After trying out many different types of subliminal message programs and comparing their effectiveness, I’ve come to the conclusion that one of the most effective subliminal audio tape programs may actually not be subliminal after all.
You heard me correctly. Let me repeat it again.
In My Humble Opinion, one of the most effective "subliminal audio tape" programs may actually not be subliminal after all.
It’s actually a normal self-help audio tape or CD of affirmations that you can play and listen to at normal volumes. It’s not subliminal in any way at all. You can easily hear all the affirmations.
Before you get all confused, hang on for a moment and let me explain why I call these self help audio tapes...
"Natural" Subliminal Messages
Okay, you know that subliminal messages work by bypassing the conscious mind and delivering the affirmations or subliminal messages directly to the subconscious. This enables the subliminal messages to avoid the conscious mind as it tends to filter and negate any affirmations or messages that it doesn’t agree with.
Now, you may be thinking that can’t be done with a normal self-help tape or CD on affirmations, right?
There is a way to bypass the conscious mind when listening to these self help audio tapes and you’re going to learn how in the next two minutes.
How Natural Subliminal Audio Tapes Work
I’m sure you’ve experienced a time when you were listening to the radio or some music and busy working on something else at the same time, perhaps reading a book or working at the computer.
Did you ever notice that, initially, you were paying attention and listening to the music but after a while, as you got engrossed in that book or whatever you’re doing on the computer, you no longer noticed the radio or music and were totally engrossed in whatever you were doing?
After a while, the only thing that mattered was the storyline in the book or perhaps the computer game you were playing. It’s as if nothing else in the world existed.
What happened was that as you became more and more focused on whatever you’re doing at the moment, your conscious mind began to zone out and pay less attention to all other distractions, i.e. the sound of music or the radio, and everything else in the environment.
And that’s exactly what I mean by "Natural" subliminal messages!
By playing the self-help audio tapes softly (just loud enough for you to hear the affirmations) at the same time and not focusing on what’s being played, your conscious mind will eventually zone out and ignore these affirmations.
And that's when the affirmations slip past your conscious mind and get delivered to your subconscious!
Now, isn’t that the same way how subliminal messages work?
Think about it.
It’s like when you’re listening to an announcement at a shopping mall.
The first time you hear one, you’ll pay attention and listen closely.
The tenth time you hear the same announcement, chances are, you’re not even going to notice it, especially if the message is played softly or not clearly.
It’s the same thing. After you listen to these "natural" subliminal messages for a while, it becomes part of the background and you don’t even realize it. Once you get to that stage, you actually have to focus your attention consciously to listen to the affirmations.
That’s why I call them "natural" subliminal messages. After all, they work the same way as subliminal messages.
Advantages & Disadvantages
Now, it’s important to note that I’m not saying that subliminal audio tapes don’t work.
However, the problem is that not everybody responds the same way to the subliminal audio tapes. And besides, you can never be sure that there’s actually anything on the subliminal audio tape other than the sound of ocean waves, etc.
That’s one of the biggest advantages of listening to affirmations or "natural" subliminal audio tapes. You know exactly what’s being delivered to your mind.
And because of that, you’re able to decide whether the affirmations are suitable for yourself. It’s very important that you choose programs that have very good quality affirmations. Listening to incorrectly-worded affirmations can actually do you more harm than not listening to any at all.
On the other hand, the disadvantage is that they can get a bit irritating at times, especially in the beginning.
I have to admit, listening to affirmations when you’re trying to focus on something or when you’re at work can get rather distracting. And if you try to play them while you sleep, it can get a little getting used to...
I started off by listening to one of Mike Brescia’s Think Right Now! CDs called “Setting & Achieving Goals”. After a couple of weeks of listening, I noticed that I was a lot more motivated and enthusiastic, especially when it came to doing things that would help me to achieve my goals.
I would usually play the natural subliminal audio tape at work and sometimes at night. I have to admit, it sometimes got a little irritating to have that little voice telling me to do stuff, etc. etc., especially at night.
The first time I played it when I slept, I didn’t have a good night’s sleep. It eventually got better as I got used to it but I have to admit, it did take a couple of days for me to get used to playing the subliminal audio tape when I slept.
So, all in all, for me at least, the Think Right Now! CD that I listened to, really worked on me. In fact, I’m still listening to it today, every time I feel like I need to be more motivated than I am. You can read more about my experience with Think Right Now here.
PS – BTW, I wrote this article whilst listening to one of the Think Right Now! "Natural" subliminal audio tapes...
